For Peat's Sake

For Peat's Sake

This is the devastation caused by cutting peat by machine for people to burn for effect in their open fires. Having scalped the landscape, the thin remainder blows away in the wind.
Most crofters who really need the peat to heat their croft houses cut their own by hand in a way that does not damage the environment.

Part of the Death at Decca and EnvironMENTAL series.
